[Not a bug] 127.0.0.1 IP
« on: November 29, 2011, 10:32:32 AM »

127.0.0.1 IP override is still on planet icons after sending a fleet anywhere - nothing important but it can be annoying while connecting via lan to host with OA by browser

Hi Devil,

If u have a computer where oa is running on ( ip 192.168.10.10 )from and u connect to OA from another computer on youre lan, then some times
if u jump from, lets say, galaxy view to fleet the browser is trying to connect to 127.0.0.1 instead of the ip where the oa is runnig on.

dunno how to explain it else :-)

I have tried to work a bit wiht the host files to see if i can tell my "client" that ip 127.0.0.1 is located omn 192.168.10.10..

Didn found a way yet, but did only do one test.. ill test it more later... I have some  more serius problem with oa rigth now..
Sent u a mail with screendump, can give u access to my omputer with Teamviewer..

thanks in advance..

you are not supposed to do that, for that there is a web access (now disabled till OA public update to avoid databses corruption by reports sharing). Proxy is there for local http proxification.

On linux it's possible by ssh tunneling, on windows have no idea.
