Maybe it's a stupid idea ...
« on: December 28, 2009, 04:17:19 AM »

Hi

I use the OA 0.99.70 and the OA 0.99.33 at the same time because i play in a "old" and a "new" Universe.

When i access to the users database or Bot or Hunter, and i have some players in the "database" my computer almost freeze for long time...

I think that information data about the players are information to valuable to waste... but like this is not usable.

Its not possible and better OA use a data base in java like this? http://java-source.net/open-source/database-engines . Playing with one Universe in my computer it's bad. If i play in more then one it's impossible...  :-\

Best regards,

PS: Okay! My computer is not very modern, I know. But still ... ::)

I've already tested javabd, when I've started to work on OA for 0.85, currently the code is ready for it, but it seems that javabd doesn't support callback triggers, which simplifies programmer life, I'll check may they have introduced them, who knows.

Best regards,

One  of them may result ... 8)

Hey there , i have the same problem... need to delete everything in database once a week lately, because the program gets really slow and laggy ( when there are about 50-100planets in hunter it gets really slow until it freeze  - and i have a  2,8ghz quadcore/4gb ddr2 and so on... any helps to fix that?

its ok to delete the database once a week its not that important, but would be also nice to not have to do that

Basicly Database is not the issue in this case
the issue is constantly refreshing/reading whole database on player Database Tab (synchronising OGA<-->Database)
