Debris Field - is there since...

I´m just wondering a little bit how OA knows how long a debris field exists?
I just started OA to do a "galaxy scanning state" with raid bot, after around 10 minutes (so in raid bot my full range of systems is shown) everytime I go to the hunter and klick "enable recycler" only for some seconds, because I only want so see debris fields but want to choose manually. And now there is a debris field "since 15:48" - but OA is sure not running for 15 minutes - so how OA knows that there is a debris field since over 15 minutes?

...or do I have a wrong understanding?
