I have a higher level that is trying to prove I'm using a bot to fleetsave.  He sent one battleship to attack me to see if fleet would deploy.  I've since moved my fleet to a heavily fortified planet out of harms way

I think this should be the top priority right now. For us users that rely on the bot, it's pretty easy to exploit if you think someone is using one. Then bye bye ogame account, bye bye subscriptions fees for DH.

2nd thing on the list should be using jump gates if your fleet is attacked on a moon.

Both are needed to be competitive in ogame, and survive the big fish and the ban hammer.

I know DH is on vacation right now, but I'll donate $20 to him if he starts working on this :)

only thing about using a jumpgate is you can't take the reserves with you thru the gate, why I don't know.  They should change this :)

The no resource thing allowed through jump gates is okay. Just have enough cargos to fleetsave your resources first.

So it could first fleet save all resources, then jump gate the remaining fleet. This was you save millions of deut if you have a huge fleet.

I can see the logic, since jumpgates don't use deut.

***Bump***

we really need this feature! When I get banned, I'm gonna become a bot hunter, so everyone should be asking for this feature  :P

It should be pretty easy to implement, since the functions are in place already.

I agree, I also think the fleetsaving feature should be updated to recall the fleet after the attack and to also fleetsave if a spy mission is headed your way with combat ships in the fleet.  I haven't seen anyone try but I did test this theory on a friend who also runs OA, I sent 2000 battleships and 1 espionage probe to "espionage" his planet and OA did not fleetsave even tho combat would have definitely took place when the ships arrived because of counterespionage.  Having the "fleetsave if spied on" feature checked would fix this but it would also cause it to fleetsave if OA updated the fleet screen while someone was just spying on you with probes.  I had this feature activated for a few days but after it fleetsaved several times due to regular probing I deactivated it.

Couldn't OA possibly parse the incoming attack/espionage for ship types? If there are ships other then probes, the time it takes to reach you should be plenty to parse the data, ect.

according to http://ogame.wikia.com/wiki/Espionage_Technology

Your level of Espionage Technology also determines the amount of information you get about an incoming foreign fleet on your overview screen.

    * At levels 0-1 you just see that a fleet is approaching.
    * At levels 2-3 you see the number of ships approaching.
    * At levels 4-7 you see what types of ship are in the fleet.
    * At level 8+ you see how many of each type the fleet contains.

So if we can see ship types on incoming fleets, OA should be able to detect them too, if it looked for them. If on an incoming espionage fleet OA detects ships other then probes, it can run a combat sim, and prepare to fleet save or not, depending on outcome of combat sim.

DH I guess the community would really appreciate a statement from your side to this topic...
I don't get it how you can priorise less important things like improving speed of hunter, which works already OK and on the other hand ignoring the need of the community to have incoming fleets calculated.

Even if there would be a possibility that only 10% of all attacks are calculated correctly, I would welcome this feature. Definitely better than having not a single chance to prevent "Bot-testing" by other users.

Add the Fleet in movement detection, and then update FS

I cannot wait to see all those changes implemented, OA is nearing perfection its so exciting lol I love this $#%@ I pray that new updates to the game do not ruin all of DH's hard work, it must be very frustrating when they update stuff and it screws with OA's functionality

It's why I do not hurry up with the integration of some features, but indeed sometime it's frustrating  ;)
