What does these three Buttons do?
« on: July 01, 2010, 03:16:00 AM »

Hi!

i am just wondering..... What exactly does these three Buttons in the Option menu apply?

Deactivate Building-update
Deactivate Ressource-update
Deactivate Fleet-update

when i turn these three off, is there still a regular "fleet update" which regards enemies? Or do i turn OA with this "off"? What is the difference between on and off of these buttons?

Best regards

and what i would love to know next:

what is the most stealthiest mode OA can do?

i deselect these three buttons, change the actualize rate to 650-2600sec and push the planet-actualizing-rate to the lowest. Then he updates only one planet every 30minutes or something. Is that right?

I want stealth mode :>

Regards !

Devil, would love to hear an answer regarding these three buttons!

i tried do deactivate fllet movement and ressource actualising... OA stopped sending out fleets, but i think it only checked the account every 45minutes...... (what would be something like a stealth mode !)

there is no stealth mode in OA. Buttons are there just in case of bugs, or when you just start a new uni., it comes from old OA behavior.

i know there is no stealth mode :D.

But i dont know what actually changes in OA behaviour when i set the buttons at

x "deactivate fleet actualising"
x "buildungs..."
x "ressources..."

thats what i would love to know..!

When i deactivate those three, will OA still detect attacks?

Regards !

It does still detect attacks on every planet, at least in the redesign unis.  I have been doing exactly as you described for months.  Stealth mode lol I suppose that is what I was aiming for as well.  I can testify it works, OA only updates the specified planet but still detects attacks incoming on other planets.  I have tested this extensively using my account and a friends.  With those boxes checked it does not make activity on other planets.  When a different planet is attacked, OA does check the fleet and resources on that planet as soon as the attack is detected and simulates the fleetsave, but other than that I have not seen any other activity on that planet after it finishes that job, not sure about when the attacking fleet is close tho as I always "disable scanning" when OA detects an attack so I can setup a ninja if possible, if not I message the attacker and they always recall then I re-enable scanning.

Disable scanning would be the stealthiest mode. If by stealthiest you mean - waiting for someone to attack you and then make a ninja.

I've always done that if I was expecting someone to attack me.
I would just Refresh the Overview.

If you can't be there, just disable fleet, buildings, resources scaning and you'll be fine...
