Test : Messages are stored locally
« on: September 19, 2010, 11:09:15 PM »

Here a new test version with a basic messages storing :
http://ogameautomizer.com/BetaVersion/OGameAutomizer.jar

This feature is there just to avoid losing private messages during farming.

Your comments are welcome ;)

After a week of testing, what's about the new Fleet Saver behavior ?
As I will update OA during this week, it's important to know.

Regards,
Andrew K.

Marvelous! Thank you very much! I'm going to try it right now!

I have tested it, and it works great. Sims are now 99.9% accurate, even in case of spy attack. Also it works much better now in case of fleet-chase with falanx. ( Saved my fleet yesterday night from 160 death star! )

I have noticed some minor problems but they are not significative ( since you asked for some reports with ACS and Death Star I've mailed you folders of interest :)

@Hummin : moon icon updated, but would be better having it with the background transparency

@asdasd : you are welcome to test this build (same link) : http://ogameautomizer.com/BetaVersion/OGameAutomizer.jar

P.S Temporary have reduced the price as the accounts monitoring has started to overload today...

In the german version of ogame not the whole message appears, as you see in the picture, no matter how wide the message column is.

here e.g. a expedition message (white space is censored ;) ):

Not a bug, it's a normal behavior, only the first part of the message is taken, so you see what the message about and you can open it to see details.

It depends how many account do you have, check the attachment : 138.7Mb is used by Java Virtual Machine to manage 4 accounts, 75,57Mb is reserved for the Virtual environment, but only 54,47Mb is really used by OA. The fist 2 values can be reduced but the CPU usage can increase.
The latest value 618.68 is the memory available only if it's really needed.
To me it seems to run smooth, Do you launch OA from .exe/.jar, .bat or in command line ?

But i think, if you have a bigger resolution you should be able to read more (the amount displayed of the message is indepepedent from window size, thats what i wanted to say before) of the message.

How do I open the message? I'm on OS X and when I stay over the message, it looks like a popup wants to pop up, but it's very small and empty.

You are welcome to ask Apple to support better there systems, many third party developers/organizations have problems with them.
You can test this build : http://ogameautomizer.com/temp/OGameAutomizer.jar
to check if SWT 3.6 has fixed the compatibility problem on Mac OS.

Of cause yes, but you will not get better :D (a technical issue : a complex data extraction from not normalized data source)

you don't really answer the question  :(

Do you launch OA from .exe/.jar, .bat or in command line ?

And show me the memory usage in OA (enable OA debugging mode), and could be helpful if you produce a bug report : http://forum.ogameautomizer.com/index.php/topic,3.0.html

I'll test it, but I reported the popup failure because the same popups work in the raidbot tab without a problem (popups with complete spyreport). ;)

//Update
Tried the new version, popups work in the all other tabs than messages tab (and using swt 3.6).
